Pricing questions
Is there a card-transaction fee?
No. Insly POS is a flat monthly subscription — we never take a cut of your card sales. You bring your own card gateway/merchant account, and settle those funds directly with your bank or payment provider.
Can I switch between retail and restaurant mode?
Yes. Each store's business type (retail or restaurant) can be set per location, and you can move a store between Counter and Restaurant plans as your needs change.
Do I need special hardware?
No special till is required — any tablet, laptop or PC with a browser works. An ESC/POS-compatible receipt/kitchen printer is optional if you want physical tickets and receipts.
Is there a contract?
No. Every plan is billed monthly (or annually if you want the discount) and you can cancel at any time — there's no long-term lock-in.
What happens during load-shedding or if my internet drops?
Insly POS is currently a cloud/online product, so it needs a working internet connection to take sales. An offline mode is on our roadmap but not available yet — we'd rather tell you that up front than oversell it.
I have more than one store — how does billing work?
Pricing is per location, and the Business plan is built for multi-branch operators: one account and subscription covers all your stores, with consolidated reporting across them.
